HELP-FAST: Need 3d coordinates for polyhedron with 60 verticies (C60 atom)
Posted on 2004-09-18
I'm working on a graphics program in OpenGL to display an atom of C60 that is commonly refered to as a "Bucky Ball." I've searched around the net and can't seem to find the 3d coordinates necessary to draw the spheres in OpenGL. I'm planning on using the solid sphere object in the GLUT library and simply need to know the (x,y,z) locations of each sphere. I'm using a simple graphics modeler called Wings3D, but it doesn't seem to have the functionality to build a polyhedron of x vertices, it only has certain predefined polys to render. In any case, I would greatly appreciate all the help I can get on this!! Thanks...
