Hello fellow techies,

I have two  separate customers. The first one wants to know the best brand of DVD Burner to buy.  The other wants to know the best buy on a 17" flat panel monitor. I would appreciate anyones opinions on these questions.

Sincerely,

Compucharley

For your flat screen LCD panel - just look for something with the best contrast and fastest response rates - they are the things that make the good panels... ~15ms response is perfectly fine for all applications (games and DVDs inclusive)

Again with DVD's there's no real key brand... lots of brands share technology and internal chipsets.. just look for something that has a 8x/16x write speed... does dual layer... and supports both DVD-R and DVD+R...
