url connection

            java.net.URL helpURL = new
             java.net.URL("http://home.singtel.com/consumer/msg_center/internet_sms.asp");

I'm trying to connect to the above site.
But i'm currently under a firewall in my school and i can't get the connection to that site.
But when i'm at home, it works well.
Can anyone help? thanks.

Is port 80 blocked by the school firewall?
Or are you also trying to make connections on other ports.

Whats the stack trace for the error?

And check the proxy settings used by the browser and set your app to use the same.
