Hi

DELL Power Edge 2500 comes with PERC 3Di/ 4DS Array Controller. Windows 2000 CD will not identify the RAID card. You need to start installation with DELL Open Manage “Server Assistant” Boot CD.

For more information please go though this URL

http://support.ap.dell.com/docs/systems/pe2500/en/ug/127kwc20.htm

If you don’t have that CD. Find out which RAID card you r using, Download desired RAID Card drivers from

http://support.ap.dell.com/ap/en/filelib/index.asp?sid=PWE_PNT_P3C_2500

Create a floppy disk.

Boot through windows 2000 Adv Server CD. Press “F6” when  you are getting the message like “ Press F6 to install additional(3rd Party Devices)”.

It’ll recognize your RAID HDD.  You need to install “Dell Array Manager“ to control/view your RAID configuration on windows.
