OWA "password change" and HTTP/1.1 503 Service Unavailable

all users can logon to the OWA with no problem.  i recently made the registry changes to show the change password button in OWA.  We are running a mixed exchagne mode.  Exchange 2000 and 2003.  2003 is being used for OWA and the exchange 2000 is our front end server.  When i click the change password button I get this error:  

OWA "password change" and HTTP/1.1 503 Service Unavailable

this pops up in its own window.  What else to i have to enable to get this change password option functioning?  i did the registry to show the button but was not enough.  thanks.

Take a look at this from the MS website:

Although not the same error message, this same issue may apply.

it was a combination of this and antoher part that had me remove the davex.dll from IIS
