Get files from PQI file.

My computer had crashed when I installed Norton 2003.  I was able to create a PQI file of Drive C onto Drive D. How can I take the files that I need from the PQI file and then delete the PQI file?  Is there a free software?

rosybaby,

If that's a PowerQuest Drive Image, you should be able to use the Image Explorer that comes as part of the package to extract the required files.

I used Drive Image 5.5 and don't have that option.  The only is to restore the image, but I don't want to restore the image because it will replace everything that I had to reinstall originally.

Do you know of other ways to open this file.  All I need is My Docs.

rosybaby,

In that case, you'll have to restore the image and extract the required stuff.  Do you have room on your C: drive to copy the .PQI there?  If you do, you could restore the image onto D: and then copy the contents of the restored My Documents from there to My Documents on C:
