Our application is developed using   JSP,JS,Java  as Front eng and  Sql Server 2000 as backend.  (We are using Tomcat 5.025)

I would like to know how to implement Load balancing in Tomcat,
to improve the performance of the application.

Thanks in Advance

You can do it together with Apache HTTPD server and mod_jk which will do load balancing between different tomcat servers.
Chekc http://www.ubeans.com/tomcat/ for details

on tomcat 5 you can do load balancing on tomcat itself.

Thanks for your response. Both the links were useful.
Though, i couldn't download the software thro' the link provided in the site.

First Option is to use Apache Webserver along with mod_jk.

Another option is to do load balancing in Tomcat itself.
For this method, Apache Web Server is not required is it ?
Any example available which explains the implementation ?

I think examples are given on that links.
For second method (load blancing in TOmcat self) Apache httpd not needed.
