How to create file to automate printer installs.

I want to create a .exe file or something of that nature for each of my printers that are on LPR ports, so that a user can just click on the file and everything is taken care of for the install. They do not have to find any files or anything of that nature, just click and the printer will be automatically installed for them. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Driver installation. So that a user can just click on a file that i make and everything is taken care of. No need for them to pick and choose drivers or locations.

I would use InstallWatch for that.

it's available for free from here:

http://www.epsilonsquared.com/

This software records the changes made on a system during installation ( of a driver for example )

you get all modified files, registry keys, ini files.

you create a ZIP archive to put all files in place

a REG files, to perform all registry changes

and a batch file to excuted it all.

Good luck,
Zvitam.
