Hi

   I have a datagrid with button column in that. when i click the button new window should pop up and display the details of

the corresponding row. I know that in the Command property of the button column I can write something as

 Private Sub dgDisplayExpenses_ItemCommand(ByVal source As Object, ByVal e As System.Web.UI.WebControls.DataGridCommandEventArgs) _
    Handles dgDisplayExpenses.ItemCommand

             Response.Redirect("webform1.aspx")

    End Sub
is there any way that i can reduce the size of the webform1.aspx so that it looks like a pop up window not the full webform
and display the details.

I know how to do this with hyperlink column. or is there a way i put hyperlink column instead of the button column and display a button instead of hyperlink.

any idea

U can do it this way

by opening the child window using window.Open();
Eg:
HTML>
<HEAD>
  <title>WebForm1</title>
  <script language="javascript">
    function pop_window()
    {
      var confirmWin = null;
      confirmWin = window.open('PopUpWindow.aspx','anycontent',
                               'width=455,height=435,status');
    }
  </script>
</HEAD>
<body>
  <form name="Form1" method="post" action="WebForm1.aspx"
        id="Form1">
    <input type="button" onClick="pop_window()" value="Open Window">
  </form>
</body>
</HTML>
