Can anyone suggest a source for drivers for this plotter (not the Calcomp site which I've already tried).  I did get it working briefly under 98 but a recent upgrade to XP pro has stopped it working. Software in use is AutoCAD LT 2005 and PCB CAD EASYPC by Numberone Systems.

Can anyone help?

The 'Designmate 3024 plotter' is a standard plotter offered in Autocad 2005.  I can't speak for what is offered in LT.

If the plotter speaks HPGL2, you could try using one of the generic HP drivers that produce that language plot file.  They should be listed under 'Hewlett Packard' in the plotter manager / add a plotter wizard.

You could always try asking the question on the ACAD forums:  http://discussion.autodesk.com/forum.jspa?forumID=137

maybe that will be helpful. Sorry.. not really up on the LT product.

Success!
Correct cable now in use is ordinary DTE-DCE type not null modem.  AutocadLT2005 works OK although paper orientation is a matter of trial and error and is difficult to fathom.

The driver that eventually worked came from the Calagraphic site which I thought I had checked completely for solutions.  The download "PLOTWARE.ZIP" produces a DOS program which works a treat.  XP Pro allows the setup program to work in a DOS window.

I have a problem with EASYPC though,  it produces a program termination window and ends with a memory read error and a consistent hex address so that is one for the excellent tech support line for Numberone Systems.

Thanks both respondents for your interest.  Do you split the points?
