Hi,

Bit of a strange one this, we have a server with 2 nic's... One going to the WAN for the webserver etc, and one going to our LAN... Now the LAN network connection only ever needs to be connected during 9:00 till 5 office hours, so I wanted to see if there was a way we could effectivly disable the LAN nic out of office hours?? Is this possible in Windows??

The only alternative is getting a cheap hub and sticking that in the path of the LAN network link and putting one of those household timer plugs on it so the hub switches off when its out of office hours... Thats not exactly a high tech solution but will be my last solution if all else fails!!

The tool used is from Microsoft

Another script

You need to create a schedule to run the script.
I can't test them now because i use NT4 now.

Let me know when it work. I will try them a few later.

Might be easier just to restrict login time for your users to that time frame.  NIC is still enabled, but users won't be able to access the server.
