HI, currentlyrunning a win2003 file server, it is not part of AD yet (later in the year we will be implementing AD)

Basically i am after and information or software that will help with

monitoring file access and use, I know about auditing but thats not really friendly enough to use.

we are assuming there are staff passing on info to competitors, if you have been in a similar situation whta have you used to record monitor or prevent this type of thing?

also any useful items utilites that you can think of would be most apprciated

thanks

Im not sure what you are looking for, Are you looking for keyloggers? they monitor anything that is typed,
or are you looking for a way for windows server 2003 to  monitor what is being typed and sent out and then have that info sent to you?

the latter,  not a key logger  more of a decent event viewer analyser, or sometung tha can monitor certain files

I may be doing it wrong but turning audutung on fille up the event viwer in a few seconds.
