Is it possible to set desktop icons in list view (same as folders have list view)?
And can it be done without active desktop?

Thanks!

I can imagine that it _could_ be done in active desktop, but I'm 100% sure that it doesnt work without it.

ndy78,

This setshellview2 sets desktop as list but shows only one icon and adds some scrolling at the desktop. Realy outstanding view :)
And everything is restoring to normal view after restart.

Did I need to say that I use win XP?..

You should click on the list view icon to have all icons displayed. I use XP too and it runs well here with a hell lot of icons on my desktop.

I just used setshellview search in google to find WinTidy, so thank you for that application :)
