I am developing a Windows Forms application in VS 2003 using C#. I am using a VS setup application to distribute my project. If a user has an old verion of my application on her machine, she has to remove the old version before installing the new version. Is there a simple way to automatically remove the old version of my application rather than requiring the user to do it herself?

Yes there is a property of the setup project...
click on the setup project then choose the properties tab... (don´t right click and choose properties)
there should be Remove Older Version property or something similar.
set it to true.
This will work if the Version number of the setup project is greater than the installed version... so you should change the version of the setup project.
