Can I permanently set brightness in Windows Media Player to a higher level? It keeps going back to default.

How do I set Windows Media Player 10 to a higher brightness setting overall?

WMP l View l Enhancements l Video Settings l Brightness    -   slide the bar to a higher brightness.

This will increase the brightness of the clip being played only.   If another clip is played...even in a playlist, it will reset back to the default.

Is there any way to permanently set the brightness in WMP to a higher level.

HOW DO I PERMANENTLY INCREASE THE BRIGHTNESS OF WMP ??????

Another related question:
Also, when I am playing a WMP clip in a wepage, and right click to switch to play in WMP, it does not allow me to adjust the brightness.
One reason why I want to permanetly increase the default brightness is so these clips will be brighter, as they are very dark and I can barely see things sometimes.  My monitor and video card are not bright by default.

I'm sure there's some regedit or file modification that can change the default brightness in WMP !

Probably by increasing some number value in a notepad or regedit!!!

BUT tosh9iii gave a practical solution because my monitor/videocard is kinda dark by default and slightly
increasing the gamma or brightness does help.

SO if nobody tells me how to directly increase the WMP default brightness within 24 hours, then I will try to award him the points asap after that.
