Is the XP server (SRV_PRD_XP) running on the linux box ?
Is the SRV_PRD_XP server defined in $SYBASE/interfaces on the linux box ?

Check the server configuration setting for number of remote connections.
Well, I guess that is O.K. except that I sent the guy to exactly the spot he needed to go to fix the problems

I object, Venabili has no Sybase experience and is not qualified to be a CV in this TA
