I am trying to set up Windows 2003 server to recognize my Jet Direct Print server and the attached OfficeJet G55.  What changes do I need to make in order to find the printer on the network?

do you know the ip address of the jetdirect box??

if so enter it in a web browser to ensure you can connect then run the software for the officejet, select network install enter the ip address, and the tool will try to connect to the jetdirect and setup the scanning and printing via the director software.

It may also create a tcp/ip poprt for printign with but if it doesnt' search hp's web site for install network printer wizard,

this run this program and it should find your pritner and take you through the steps required to install the drver and create the port.

hope this helps.
