I think there aren't trials on sdn.sap.com. You can download WAS on <a href="ftp://ftp.sap.com" rel="ugc">ftp.sap.com</a>&nbsp;- linux version for free. It's possible to download from service.sap.com, but access is only for customers and partners.<br />

SDN currently offers Portal 6.0, Netweaver Developer Studio and WAS 6.40 (Java Engine).<br />
But nevertheless, you will never do Webreporting on ITS or a seperate WAS.<br />
What you can do is creating BW reports via BEX and the Web Application Designer.<br />
The reports can be integrated in the portal or can be directly displayed via the BW integrated<br />
http server which is the solution preferred by SAP.<br />
