Check how many profiles you have got going to control panel --> mail ---> show profiles.
If you have 2 profiles and NOT using one of them , remove it.
Check with the default profile if business contact manager would work ..

You might have to reinstall business contact manager to see if that would also assist here

Have you ever been able to make business contact manager work or this started suddenly ?

I see many issues with business contact manager mainly with ol 2003. Possible reason why I cannot find more help is because it could be relatively new.
Now one of the questions here i see that reinstallation of office 2003 might help. It may or may not in your case but you can give it a shot.

Well , since BCM never worked for you , reinstallation necessarily will not help  but might be worth a shot.

Not sure how far this can help. Business contact manager is a kind of add-in and I would think you are not able to install an add-in

OL2002: Error Message: <Path> is Not a Valid Office Add-in

Have you also gone to http://officeupdate.microsoft.com and got the latest updates for office 2003 esp outlook 2003 and then checked working on BCM ?
