Tomcat Administration

I have installed Tomcat on an Apache server running Redhat Linux Ent 3.0.  I can get to the index.jsp file in the browser and the Tomacat Administration and Tomcat Manager page will display.  I enter the user name and password which I put in the /tomcat/webapps/admin.xml and /tomcat/webapps/manager.xml files.  However I get a response that:
"HTTP Status 403 - Access to the requested resource has been denied"
I get this on both the localhost machine and a remote host.  I'm not familar with this setup so help would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance

Hi,

Look at this forum Discussion(s)..

You need to setup the roles to authenticate the Users to access your page(s)..

Yes, had the role incorrect as I had it listed as tomcat instead of admin and manager!  Works fine now.
