Why is my Outlook Express unable to display individual emails?

I use Windows ME and so I've been using Outlook Express for reading my emails from hotmail accounts for about 2.5 years now and about 6 months ago it stoped allowing me to read the eamils. It downloads all the messages fine, but when I go to read a particular email nothing shows up and when I place the curser over the portion where the email should be displayed the little hour glass thing is right next to the curse acting like its still working on opening the email. However, I have left it trying to open one email for fifteen minutes and it still doesn't open so I don't think the problem is a lack of patience. It does the same thing when I try and open the emails I have stored on my computer. Never the less I did "uninstall" each email account and then "add" them again just for good measure, but it didn't help. I do keep up with all the security updates that Microsoft makes avaiable regularly. Any help would be appreciated. I will of course provide any additional information if needed. Thank you for your help.

Try this
Start--> Run  --> Typein : regsvr32 inetcomm.dll

Open OE and check if you can read all messages fine
