can't open an excel file in internet explorer

Hi Guys.Could someone help me on this.I've been developing an application that do a report in microsoft excel.Im using the jakarta POI. I also used struts. In my action class, I set the header

response.setContentType("application/vnd.ms-excel").  I tried to access it using Netscape7 and it works fine.But when I access it using ie, it prompts
  " Could not open http://localhost:9999/eqplog/testerInfoExcel.do"
  "Microsoft excel cannot access the following file http://localhost:9999/eqplog/testerInfoExcel.do"

Weird... What happens with other browsers (Opera)? Are both IE and Netscape on the same computer and LAN? Check you IE security settigns and see if you notice something weird.

Hi girionis!I already check the ie security level and sets it to low level. I'm using ie 6.
It works on netscape, mozilla and opera.

So it is an IE related problem. I suggest two things:

1) Try it on a newer/older version of IE and see if that works
2) Try to install the latest service pack.
