Questions on database Sync

I have a questions reguarding upddating a local database from a server drive.  I have created an offline / online application.  When the app starts it verifies if it can get to the server, yes - online, no- offline,  I copy of a 485mb database is loaded from cd at start.  What are my options to update the local database when the user knows they are online, and send only changes.

Thanks,

MJ

ok, then just  use the UPDATE statements trought your program, you know how to send sql trough vb?

the way of sending UPDATE is just as a regular SELECT statement.

Free Tool: ZipGrep

ZipGrep is a utility that can list and search zip (.war, .ear, .jar, etc) archives for text patterns, without the need to extract the archive's contents.

ok, then wich sql tool are you using? sql server? access? oracle?

if you use oracle or sql server or any sql tool that can use stored procedure,  you can just create a stored procedure that takes parameters representing all field you want to update.

you can also use directly the update statements from your program to the server.
