Hey all.......
I'm  facing a problem in VB.Net (.net Compact framework) for Smart Devices (Pocket PC 2003). I'm  developing an Order Processing Software for pocket pc 2003 (for restaurants for taking orders on thier Palm)....I'm using WebServices to Handle my Database needs for input and out of data to the access database. On the Login form I've given the option to enter the "Server IP" so that it should pickup all the Web Services from tht URL, but I can't handle that feature. I'm still working with a fixed IP (like http://192.168.0.20/mydataservices) for the webservices. It works for other normal .net applications but not working for Pocket PC application.

Moreover my application is not taking the Computer Name (like http://server1/mydataservices) instead of the IP otherwise I would have asked the my clients to change thier Computer Name, Instead of changing the IP address......
Plz help me out by either tellin me about an option to change WebService URL Dynamically (This solution will be the best one to apply)
OR
how to keep the computer name instead of IP (May be it has smthng to do with DNS server or whatever) for the webservices.

Thnx in Advance
