If i'm putting the ip address of the dns server on all the pc's will it slow down the internet connnection and or the DNS server itself, which is also the Domain controller, WINS server  and file server? My ISP is SBC, can I use their DNS address for internet access and the internal DNS address for everything else. all comments will be appreciated.

Server overload, or DNS not set up correctly on the server (root hints and forwarder)

that is something that i will be looking at

what is an efficient way to test the DNS and to prevent Server overload.

use nslookup, that is most of the time works
