There is no way to re-import other tables; all you can do is to re-create a table with the same fields, and then import data from the fm6 file into the new table.<br />
For layouts, no real import, but if fields names are identical, you can copy/paste layouts from old models to the new fm7 base.

that is what i was afraid of. is having all the databases in one file preferable to having the databases separate as they are now?

I Currently have 6 different tables. one main table with 6 subtables. i recently upgraded to fmp7. i notice that you can have multiple tables in one database with fmp7. is there a way to import my existing subtables in the main table? also is there a way to import the different layouts i have in each of the subtables.
