Turn Off the "Save Replies with Original Message" Option

Click Tools, and then click Options.
On the Preferences tab, click E-mail Options, and then click Advanced E-mail Options.
If the In folders other than the Inbox, save replies with original message check box is selected, click to clear this check box.
Click OK three times to close all open dialog box windows.

Turn On the "Send Immediately When Connected" Option

Click Tools, and then click Options.
Click the Mail Setup tab.
If the Send immediately when connected check box is cleared, click to select this check box, and then click OK.
Make sure that your profile is configured for only the Microsoft Exchange Server service.

I am getting the same problem with a number of users- mail sits in outbox and doesn't deliver until the users click on the outbox. I have checked all the solutions above and everything is set to as described. Have recently installed Windows XP SP2 but I believe the problem was happening before then. Any ideas?
