Hi,

I need to send orders from a Windows based application to SAP. My application export TXT, I've already converted this file into EDI files for another project.
I order to make a demo, I need to convert this TXT file into IDOC ORDERS file and send it to  SAP. I have the tools to convert my file into any other TEXT files, just need the format of the IDOC.

- Where can I find IDOC specifications ?
- Is there any sample on the net ?
- Witch is the best way to send the IDOC file to SAP form a Windows serveur ?
- Any good tools ?

Thanks for your answers

Hello,
the fastest way to convert txt file to IDoc structure is using LSMW tool.
Other ways are writing ABAP program which convert your txt file
to IDoc or doing it with some external application which SAP provides
for free eg. Business Connector.
1.Specification of IDoc's you can find on http://ifr.sap.com/catalog/query.asp
2.Samples and guides of using ALE/Idocs/EDI : www.logosworld.de
3.Business Connector which can read your txt file and map fields to IDoc
and LSMW.
4.above
Hope it helps,

Hello again,
you can use external tools I recommend Business Connector or JConnector which can
read txt file, convert to record, map fields, save as Idoc (also send to SAP, if you want)
Except of above you can do it from SAP using LSMW or writing you own program/parser
which converts txt into IDoc. IDoc specification you can find on ifr.sap.com
for example: SAP LO - 46C > Sales and Distribution > Electronic Data Interchange > ORDERS
hope helps,
