After I repotitioned the HP D530 machine and installed Win 2K server and other application from CD, I go to Control Panel, click Add/Remove Programs icon, the window can't pop up.

I tried to update all latest service patch files and not working.

Can someone help me solve this problem? Thanks!

Boot to your Windows 2000 Server CD and run the second Repair option.
It takes about 10-20 minutes.

Sorry to ask this question, but didn't get you. Did you install service pack 4? I think it is not the solution but good to try it.

Hello,
I have had what might be the same problem and this link fixed it:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;329891&Product=win2000

Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type cmd, and then press ENTER.
In the Command window, type regsvr32 mshtml.dll, and then press ENTER.

Click OK to confirm that the registry entry has been added.
In the Command window, type regsvr32 shdocvw.dll -i, and then press ENTER.

Click OK to confirm that the registry entry has been added.
In the Command window, type regsvr32 shell32.dll -i, and then press ENTER.

Click OK to confirm that the registry entry has been added.
Close the Command window.

Hope it works for you
