What Microsoft Installer version is used with 2003 SBS?

User is trying to install our software on his Windows 2003 Small Business Server and keeps getting this error upon install:

"Error 1706 no valid source could be found for product POINT
The Windows Installer cannot continue"

What would be causing this issue?  Faulty MSI package perhaps on that 2003 box?  Can I rename the MSI.dll in DOS to MSI.old and then reinstall MS Installer 2.0?  How would I approach this?

Thanks,

itsmevic

Try getting him to copy the CD to the HDD, or to the HDD of a worksrtation and install it from the network. 1706 is a pretty generic error message.

I assume you've had no problems with the particular cut of software you've given him? As its your own MSI check this:
PRB: Error 1706 "No Valid Source Could Be Found" When Installing MSI File from Removable Media
