A new one joins the Excel HOF. Congratulations to zorvek!

It took Kevin (zorvek) only a month and a week to go from 0 points to a position in the Excel Hall of Fame. That's a pretty steep trajectory, even for someone who beta tested the very first release of Excel back in '84. He is now working as a consultant in the California area with a big Harley to keep himself busy on weekends.

His EE profile doesn't give his age, but Kevin used DOS VisiCalc back when he was in school (course VI major??)--so I'm guessing just over 40. OK--that puts the Harley nicely into perspective.

Congratulations Kevin!

Kevin, get on the Harley and quit kicking my butt :)

I only go as far back as Lotus123 for DOS, VisiCalc, sheesh, I'm guessing over 50 Brad.

Congratulations Kevin!!!

Best,
Justin
Congrats Kevin. That was a fast entry in the Excel HOF !!!
Good job,
Sébastien

Kevin,

From one fairly "new regular" to another, welcome aboard, and keep up the
great work!

But for Pete's sake, let someone else answer a question occasionally :)

Patrick
Kevin: I'll come visit you as long as I don't have to ride bitch.
Keep the dirty side down.
And congratulations!!!!
Congratulations Kevin,

Its been great seeing you, Geoff (MalicUK), Patrick, jeverist and Terry (tmharvey) get on board recently

Cheers

I had assumed that Kevin was an undergrad when he used the DOS version of VisiCalc, but given his age he was more likely a grad student at the small Eastern tech school mentioned in his EE profile. Given this new information, I'm now guessing he was either in Course VI or XV.

One of the enjoyable aspects of this type of question is getting a chance to learn more about the people who participate at EE. There were way too many hits for Kevin's name, but "Zorvek" uncovered his interest in motorcycles. And Kevin's post above disclosed even more.

I'm going to keep the question open for a few more days because there are a couple of regulars not heard from yet.

OK, clearing up more rumors. I was at that quaint little MIT Sloan school getting my MBA as part of the one-year accelerated program...I like it when it's intense. What do I have to do to get my 20 points?

Brad, I figured out why you, an Ozarks guy, are signing off "Cheers" all the time. And I got this far with just a browser!

Kevin, have you come accross QuickPost yet?

Brad may correct me here but I'm guessing that he uses the default QP template
