I am working on a computer that had XP home installed twice on the same partition, my father couldnt get online so reinstalled xp on the c drive to try and fix problem--only needed to reinstall his modem.  Both installations are running fine as far as i can tell but i would like to uninstall/remove the second one.  I would of course rather not format the drive and reinstall fresh copy but i do not want it to start having problems from uninstalling the second one or leaving it there and  and just removing it's path from boot.ini.  Any suggestions on which route to go?

Does it actually have 2 windows folders?
if so then you should be able to edit the boot.ini and if the first windows installation is working ok then you can delete the second windows folder.
