System.Web.UI.WebControls.DropDownList' does not contain a definition for 'SelectedValue'.
After downloading a project made in VS2003, i converted to VS2002, and now is getting a compilation error for
System.Web.UI.WebControls. DropDownLi st' does not contain a definition for 'SelectedValue'.
Is there a way to work around this.
I have .Net framework 1.1 installed, but is using VS2002.

Look I just installed NGallery with the installer heres what I did, your doing way too much work here:
1) delete any virtual directory that you already have for Ngallery
2) add/remove programs make sure ngallery is gone from there
3) start the installer
4) click yes next i agree all the way through
5) navigate to http://localhost/ngallery
6) enjoy
**You will not see an Ngallery folder or vd until you hit the http address once
I just completed this in 3 minutes

Glad that it did not much post problems to you. I guess , not having VS2003 is hurting me. Anyways, your earlier suggestion of SelectedItem.Value worked. Apologies, i tried something else and quick to shoot ans. Anyways, the project is build now. let me check it. Meanwhile, thanks a million for all the help. You are a Gem
the virtual directory created will map the the physical path to:
C:\Program Files\nGallery\web
C:\Program Files\nGallery\web
