if I have a textbox component, is it possible to rotate it?

one solution i thought of was to have a movie clip wrapper around the textbox, and rotate the wrapper. does this work? i haven't tried yet..

if not, is there any other way?

As far as I know you can't rotate dynamic text which that is what the textbox component is a dynamic textbox with some bells and whistles.  You can only rotate static text in flash Cause the way flashworks it actually creates frames "pictures" of the tween that you want such as a rotation and that is compiled at the time you publish.  So With dynamic text it has no idea what will be in the box later so it can't create those "pictures" frames to do the tween.  So as far as I know you can't rotate dynamic text.
