Lost administrator password

I posted this question a few days ago, but closed it before I should have.

I cannot log in locally becaues I do not know an administrator password.  A few ppl suggested a couple different ways to reset it, which one of the programs worked great, except on one machine.
The program I used was http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/.

On this PC, i run through the program, restart the computer, try to log in, but it wont let me.  It seems as if the admin passowrd gets reset, but it appears to not actually get reset, because I still cannot log into it.

Is there another free program like this one I can try?  Also, what if I were to load win2k over itself.  Would that gimme an option to set an administrator password?  If i do that (without reformatting), will it loose all the data on this PC?  Thanks

how do I use this?  Do i burn it onto a cd?  will this make the cd bootable?  Is it used on a floppy?  A little info on this program would be good to have, if you can give me some.  I'd appreciate it!!  Thanks :-)

Actually, looking more closely at it, it looks like the same program I have already used...except it boots from a floppy, and I had mine booting form a cd.  Is this the case?
