Nokia VPN210 (with Check Point Firewall-1) : How can I restore factory settings alt. set default passwords?
Dear Nokia/Firewall Experts!
I recently got hold of an old Nokia VPN210 Firewall. It is not going to be used in production anymore but merely for my own educational purposes...
Unfortunately the Nokia VPN210 isn't supported by Nokia/Check Point anymore and worse it is protected by a password!
How can I restore the unit to its default passwords? Can I restore factory settings in some way?
Many Thanks!

There are some serious vulnerabilities in Check Point 4.1 (which is all I believe the VPN 2xx series will run), so be careful...

Okay I found the solution by myself ...
Reboot the Nokia and when it is booting type in -s (couple seconds to do this) to drop into single user mode
Hit return
use sh as shell
type in the following
/etc/overpw
and hit y to continue - you have now cleared the admin password
