Hello to all,

I am using Oracle 10g under Windows (development area) and also the new web interface for
isql and for the enterprise manager console. i.e.:

http://lcoalhost:5560/isqlplus/workspace.uix
http://lcoalhost:5500/em/console/logon/logon

The problem is that after some minutes the http session expires. I want to increase
the session timeout or even disable it completely.

Thank you for any help

Setting the iSQL*Plus Session TimeOut:

  You can edit the iSQL*Plus configuration file, isqlplus.conf, to change
  the lines affecting the timeout behavior. The syntax of the two lines to
  change in the configuration file is:

      iSQLPlusTimeOut {On|Off}
      iSQLPlusTimeOutInterval {n}
        The default is 60.

This was for 9i.
In 10g I found in Registry --> Oracle ...--->SYSMAN---->OracleDBConsole ...
the parameter TIMEOUT

I think this is the wanted ....

Ok.

For isql i just found the timeout parameter in the file web.xml in
C:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1\oc4j\j2ee\oc4j_applications\applications\isqlplus\isqlplus\WEB-INF

I'm checking if it works

great.

isql - changing the parameter in the web.xml fixed the problem with isql.
em - changing the registry parameter fixed the problem with the enterprise console
