http error 405 when CGI use post method

we are using two servers:
One Win2000 Server is the IIS server.
Second Win2000 Server which hosts all phisical files (cgi, asp, images, etc)

The virtual directory was created in IIS and the site folder was mapped on it.

The ASP pages are fine...I can logged in system...but when It has to send an transaction using POST method the IIS returns HTTP Error 405: Method not allowed.

My CGI file is a .exe (visual basic) file.

Do You have an Ideia to solve that???

A 405 error generally means the webserver is not configured correctly to allow the operation of CGI programs.

How IIS 5.0 should be configured to allow the operation of my CGI (visual basic)...??

Specifically, a 405 error means a particular method is not allowed.  In most instances, this is the webserver restricting POST requests.

In IIS, Application Extension Mapping for .exe, ensure you have the appropriate methods defined in the "Verbs" section.

Either select "All Verbs", or set "Limit verbs" to whatever method your CGI application uses, ie: GET or POST
