I am running an exchange server but have a pop account on top of it.
I have created a new profile and that worked for 2 days now the same problem.

Hi andreas_be,

It sounds as if your default e-mail account has been set to the POP3 account in Outlook. Try setting it to the Exchange account and see if that works.
As you have both setup, Outlook can send via either of them and will use the default account to send/retrieve unless you specifically tell it to.

Good Luck

Thanks for the reply!!!

It is set-up for pop3 and the settings are correct, we use smtp for mail delivery  we also have a user who is using exchange and this issue happends aswell.

we have a customer who uses outlook 2000 and Mdeamon so there are PST's rather than mailboxes. The trouble is that the client has sent a 700mb file the is currently stuck in the outbox. As we cannot stop the service we cannot delete the email or move it to the deleted folder. Is there a quick and easy work around for this problem?

Regards Simon
