TextEditor which FTP-uploads updated files on background.

Dear fellow developers/Experts,
Since a couple of years know I have been using several TextEditors to aid in my development projects.
The editors I use all have the same anoying habbit, to kind off 'block' when you update a file to a slow FTP server.
As my client's FTP-server is really really slow, it takes about 30 seconds to open a single file, then when writing back the file, this takes another 30 seconds. 30 seconds you can't use working on other files, because the software just blocks any other interaction.
Therefor I would like to know I someone uses or can recommend textediting software which handles FTP interactions in the background, so that when you update one file, you can still edit other files (other html, js, css, etc).
Possibly an editor which keeps an open connection to the FTP server could work also, but then it should be able to handle multiple FTP connections simultaneously preferably.
Some side requirements would be offcourse:
- ability to handle projects/ group files as project
- syntax highlighting
- block editing
But I suppose these things are standard in a piece of software calling itself webdevelopment texteditors nowadays.
If you have the software running this possibly will not be the most difficult question to answer, but it's worth the points and would speed up my working pace a lot with the project I'm currently on.
