Help needed,
I am using NTBackup M,W,F(Diff) Sun(Normal) to backup our network. It backs up to a HD on the Backup Machine, the problem is that the Differental Backup has grown to 25gigs and we are running out of room on that HD.  So my question to you is what can i do with that 25gig diff backup do i delete it? We have a 30gig tape backup should i back it up to that and then delete it, what is the proper way of accomplishing this task???

Are you keeping ALL the differentials?  Even the ones from 3 months ago?  I would recommend this backup scheme:

Full backups once per week (Su) Keep as long as you might have a need/reason to restore
Differential backups every night (M-Sa) Keep for 2-3 weeks.

Differentials are changed data.  The full gets that changed data when you running it, making the differentials that occurred previously obsolute.  There is the possibility that you have a file modified twice during the week and the differentials will effectively keep different versions, but in all likelihood, that doesn't happen to often and would generally be unnecessary to keep.

Your backup scheme should be done according to how important your data is and how easy it is to reconstruct, modified by how much $$$ you can/are willing to spend on the backup solution.  Consider that in the US, a 160 GB Hard drive can be purchased for under $100.  Consider getting another hard drive if the one you use is running out of room.  Then alternate backups, one to the old hard drive, one to the new.  This way if a drive fails, you don't loose all your backups.
