Hello,

I'm a newbie.

I'm customizing Dreamweaver for our developers.

I'm trying to access the DOM that's available in any web browser.

Does anyone know how I can access it?

I've used:
  var theDOM = dw.getDocumentDOM();

But this doesn't have the same API.

Specifically, it doesn't have document.getElementById or document.getElementByName.

Does anyone know of any alternaltives?

Thanks.

Well it has nothing to DW, its your Browser Issuse.

What browser are you using for testing.?

if its IE 5/NS 6 + Then do the following for testing...

lets say you have a ID in your web page

<Div id="test">
Hello Test me
</div>

Then do the Following to grab it with javaScript

<Script>
function kk() {
alert("document.getElementById('test').innerHTML")
}
</Script>
<body onLoad = "kk()">
