I am using NavigateError event in VB 6.0 to trap possible problems with accessing a web site. When I point the browser to a non-existant website, or simply disconect my LAN, the StatusCode (variant) parameter comes back with a -2146697211. That is highly unexpected, as StatusCode should contain an integer status code (eg -404).  Why am I seeing this strange behavior, and how can I fix this?

Thanks!!
