Audit select on a table

I need to know who acceses a salary table.
I want audit any dml on that table.
Can this be done? If so, how do I do it?

what if you create a Trigger on that Table and Track the Users ID upon DML.

Is it possible to create a trigger on a 'SELECT'  event ??
I was looking for a better answer than a what if.

nope.
only Update, Delete or Update. and I think thats what you wand DML.
I dont think there is another way,
