Hi Experts,

We are developing an application on asp.net with sql server as a backend. Let me explain what this application is.

This application is for curomer spport management. Company is having various dealers at various location accross the country.

Now the company want to give an offline application to each dealer as well as online access. As the internet connectivity is poor so idea is that each dealer will work offline and then at the end of the day they will uplaod the data back to main  server.

This offline package has been developed in VB.net, sql server as a backend.

As the logistic and other approval officers are sitting at the head office so they update the complaints status and when the next day user log in he pull back the updated data from the main server.

My question is what will be the best way to achieve this. I mean your ideas. How we have to proceed.

Both the online as well as offline package is ready. Please help me, I donot mind to give points. I need best suggestions.

A method which is quite often employed is snychronisation through email or distributed text files. Basically you flag any data that is changed in the db and then extract this information at specific times by exporting data from the db based on the modified flag. the method of transport can be anything, most often encrypted data via email, ftp or the like. then at the other end you use this information to update/append the data into the master db.  depending on how complicated you wanted to get, you could whip up a "comms" client and server app without too much trouble to do this for you.
