Hello,

I need some help with saving a jpg image in Photoshop.  Whenever I try to save a jpg image (Ctrl+alt+shift+s) and enter a long name, Photoshop crops the name.  Is there a limit to the length of words I can use when I name an image?  For example, if I try to save the image name as:

"APC.Surge.Data.AnalogPhone.small"

Photoshop only writes/saves the following name:

"APC.Surge.Data.AnalogPhone."

Is there a way to change the text length in Photoshop so that whenever I save an image with a really long name it can save the ENTIRE name?

Many thanks!

Open the Save for web option (ctrl+alt+shift+s) and click the little black arrow above the checkbox 'optimize' and then click 'Edit Output Settings'. Here select saving files from the drop down and uncheck 'Mac OS 9'

also, try and avoid '.' r spaces in your filenames, use underscores '_' instead.
