No, unless you use characters' codes like this:

text_txt.text = "test superscript \u00b3\u00b2\u00b9"

or

text_txt.text = unescape("test superscript %b3%b2%b9")

But it should depend on the font, and the unicode code for each character...

well have the text in external html file. How would i use this \u00b3\u00b2\u00b9? I tried it and it just printed out \u00b3\u00b2\u00b9.

When using an external text, use: %b3%b2%b9 and unescape the data before setting it to a text. For example:

- create a text file, name it "myText.txt", and write in it "my text %b3%b2%b9" (without quotes);
- create a flash movie
- try this code:

data_var = new LoadVars();
data_var.onData = function(raw)
{
      trace(unescape(raw));
};
data_var.load("myText.txt")

threw a class file like this: Note the top of the class file not shown

notesXML = new XML();
    notesXML.ignoreWhite = true;
   loadNotes("com/libary/notes/slideNote" + num + ".html")

      }

      public function loadNotes(URL:String){
            var clip = container_mc.notesHolder

       notesXML.onLoad = function(success:Boolean):Void{
        if(success){

              clip.htmlText = this;
              clip.scroll =0;
              unescape(clip.htmlText);

          }else{
            trace("Could not load xml");
            }
        }
            notesXML.load(URL);
