Can I read the Assembly Manifest?

I know that the Assembly Manifest provides a list of all types exposed in the assembly. Is this a text file that I can read?

What kind of information are you trying to get?  Reference library names?

Thanks for your comments. I'll split the points between planocz and 123654789987. I thought this was much simpler than it is. It was only an acedemic question really - I just wanted to see behind the scenes.
