OWA access with Username and password in a link

Is there a way of making a link with the username and password "embedded". It is for a MD on his home computer. ie Http://mail.exchangeservermx/exchange:uname:password

According to the BLOG for this Microsoft employee, there is no way to do that.  You can pass other parameters (inbox, calendar, etc), but not the username or password.  (Note: one person toward the end of the BLOG gives a suggestion on how to, but it doesn't appear to work)
