Outlook Express does not send emails with long text

My Outlook Express does not send emails with a certain length. I tested sending all kinds of emails with different length, and it seems like it doesn't send any email with more than 20 words approximately. Shorter emails are sent with no problem. The error message is "An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'test', Account: 'my email', Server: 'outgoing.verizon.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '421 out004.verizon.net Lost connection to [138.89.142.167]', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 421, Error Number: 0x800CCC67".
I have Norton AntiVirus 2004 and I tested sending emails with its protection features disabled, but I still couldn't send longer emails. I contacted my ISP but even they could not figure out what is wrong with my OE. I would really appreciate your help...

Also did you delete and recreate your email account to see if that would help ?

Did this issue suddenly start or you are working on this account new ?

Change the format of the email message to see if that helps

I could send a long email finally! It was an MTU problem, I needed to change the MTU setting of my router to 1400. Now I can use OE with no problem. Thank you so much for your help!
